Manchester United are interested to sign former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen in January. The Danish midfielder wants to leave Inter Milan after just 11 months of joining the Serie A side.
Eriksen left Tottenham Hotspur after 7 years and joined Inter Milan last January. The 28-year-old midfielder has played 305 games for the London side and scored 69 goals.
He has faced a tough time in Italy. In his first 37 games for the Italian side, he has scored only 4. He is yet to score this season for Inter.
Inter manager Antonio Conte signed him to add depth, quality, and creativity in the middle of the park. His eye for a pass, quality when delivering set-pieces, and shooting power from a distance add extra quality to a team. But the things didn’t quite work in Italy for him.
Prior to his move to Italy, Eriksen played 470 games in his senior career, bagging 106 goals and 154 assists. A goal or an assist in every 1.8 games.
Manchester United may go for him in January. He can be the perfect replacement for Paul Pogba who is reportedly going to leave the club in the next transfer window.
The midfielder can retain possession effortlessly and is capable of dropping deep and linking up the play even under high-pressure situations.
Manchester United loves to play in quick counter attacks by linking up with each other. Christian Eriksen will be perfect for United’s style of play and he will add extra depth to the squad.
