Android TV Guide shared some reports which claimed that Motorola is expected to release its first 4K TV dongle through the e-commerce site Flipkart. This dongle has not surfaced officially but we know some of its key specs, all thanks to the Android TV Guide.
According to Android TV Guide, the Motorola-branded 4K TV dongle comes with a model number of DVM4KA01. This dongle will be powered by an Amlogic S905Y2 chipset which will be supported by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.8GHz CPU and ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU.
This model is also known as HAKO Mini (Taiwan), Polaroid Smartbox S, and Philips NeoViu D1. Since the latter models are already official, so we assume how this upcoming Motorola dongle looks like. There will be a difference in branding.
This upcoming streaming dongle will run Android TV Pie. It will support both Netflix and Amazon Prime. This streaming device is manufactured by an OMD called Shenzhen SDMC Technology Co. LTD.
It is expected that when Flipkart will launch this upcoming Motorola- branded streaming device then the first competitor will be Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K since there are not any other 4K dongles, although there are boxes like Mi Box 4K.
All these above-given information are based on the source. But there is no official information is reported till now. It is expected that the company will release all the important reports regarding this topic soon. Hope in the upcoming days, we will have some clearer information regarding this upcoming device.
