In a Weibo post, Chase Xu, Realme’s Vice President and head of Global Marketing, confirmed a high-performance GT series smartphone will launch soon in China. As per Chinese tech bloggers like WHY LAB, the device will be dubbed the Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition. The phone is going to focus on pure performance and a competitive gaming experience over other aspects with it being designed for younger gamers.

Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition Launching This Month in China, Targeting Gamers with Top Performance
The RMX5090 model smartphone from Realme recently passed through China’s TENAA certification platform. Was initially believed to be the Realme GT 7, but WHY LAB has confirmed that it is more likely the GT 7 Pro Racing Edition. Xu also teased that the device’s name will include wording related to “racing,” reemphasizing Xu’s spirit of speed.
He highlighted that the phone will offer top-tier performance, extreme tuning, and an uncompromised user experience. The Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition is expected to be similar to the GT 7 Pro but with some key differences. Specifically, it will lose the periscope telephoto lens in favor of a dual-camera setup. The rest of the spec list will be largely the same as the GT 7 Pro.
It will also be equipped with a micro-quad-curved 6.78-inch 8T LTPO Samsung display, with a 2780×1264 resolution able to refresh at 120Hz. It will feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU, up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 6,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging. For photography, it will include a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. To reduce costs, it may use an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor instead of the ultrasonic one found in the GT 7 Pro.
With its focus on gaming and performance, the Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition will compete with the iQOO Neo 10 Pro and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro in China. It is expected to be priced lower than the Ace 5 Pro, making it the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered phone. There’s also a possibility that Realme will launch the Racing Edition alongside the Dimensity 8400 Max-powered Realme Neo 7 SE, which is expected to debut this month.
