iOS 19 Supported Devices Leaked: Here’s the Full List of Compatible iPhones

Apple recently launched iOS 18 in September, and rumors about the next big update, iOS 19, are already making waves. According to a report by iPhoneSoft, iOS 19 will support all iPhones currently running iOS 18. Yes, you read that right—Apple isn’t dropping support for any iPhones this time around. However, there’s a catch. Let’s dive into the details.

iOS 19 Compatible iPhones: Full List

If the leaks are accurate, iOS 19 will be compatible with the following iPhone models:

• iPhone SE (2nd & 3rd generation)
• iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max
• iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max
• iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max
• iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max
• iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max
• iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max
• iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max

Additionally, the upcoming iPhone 17 series, expected to launch in late 2025, will come with iOS 19 pre-installed.

What’s the Catch?

While it’s great news that Apple isn’t leaving any devices behind, there’s a small caveat. Older iPhones, like the iPhone XR or iPhone SE (2nd generation), may not get access to all the new features in iOS 19. Apple often reserves advanced features for newer models with more powerful hardware. So, if you’re using an older iPhone, you might need to upgrade to enjoy the full iOS 19 experience.

Why This Matters

If this report is true, it will mark the second consecutive year that Apple hasn’t dropped support for any iPhone models with a major iOS update. For context, iOS 17 (released in 2023) dropped support for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. However, iOS 18 and now iOS 19 seem to be more inclusive, ensuring that even older devices remain relevant.

When Will iOS 19 Be Released?

Apple is expected to unveil iOS 19 at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2025. The developer beta will likely be available immediately after the announcement, with the public release scheduled for September 2025, alongside the iPhone 17 lineup.

Final Thoughts

If you’re using an iPhone XR or newer, you can rest assured that your device will support iOS 19. However, if you want to experience all the new features Apple has to offer, upgrading to a newer model might be worth considering. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the official announcement!
