Robert Chin, ASUS Group Chief Information Security Officer, expressed the company’s vision: “Building Digital Resilience, Enhancing Brand Trust; Striving for Excellence, Advancing Security Together.” He emphasized that ASUS is committed to actively promoting digital security risk management. With its new membership in FIRST, ASUS plans to deepen its collaboration with international Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRT) and Product Security Incident Response Teams (PSIRT). This collaboration will focus on exploring global digital security trends and integrating threat intelligence to enhance the cybersecurity capabilities of domestic enterprises.

Enhancing Global Cybersecurity Collaboration

Chin further stated that the company aims to strengthen the maturity of the global cybersecurity ecosystem, lead the establishment of regional industry alliances, and implement effective supply chain security mechanisms. By improving emergency response efficiency, ASUS is committed to ensuring rapid and effective responses to various cyber threats.

TJ Hsu, ASUS Computer Threat Analyst, added, “Joining FIRST enables us to establish close collaborations with top global cybersecurity experts and leading network defense teams.” This membership not only keeps ASUS updated on international and domestic security threats in real-time but also allows the company to leverage FIRST’s extensive network for sharing threat intelligence. This collaboration will help businesses effectively tackle challenges and mitigate the impact of cyber threats on industries and society.

About FIRST

FIRST is an international non-profit organization comprising over 700 CSIRTs and PSIRTs from more than 100 countries. Its mission is to enhance the development and resilience of global cybersecurity. Members include cybersecurity professionals from the public sector, private enterprises, and academic institutions, all working together to share expertise and intelligence to strengthen global network defense capabilities.

To become a member of FIRST, organizations must undergo a rigorous evaluation process, including on-site assessments and recommendations from two existing members, followed by a review and approval from the FIRST Board of Directors. ASUS was recommended by DTTW-CSIRT (Deloitte Taiwan CSIRT) and TeamT5 CSIRT (TeamT5 Cyber Security Incident Response Team). After successfully navigating this thorough assessment, ASUS has demonstrated its exceptional capabilities in cybersecurity, earning international trust and recognition.
