OnePlus has made an official announcement about launching the OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro in December. Although the launch date is undisclosed, the company has been announcing the future devices on Weibo, which serves as the launch pad for these devices.

Meanwhile, as per the latest leak, the OnePlus Ace 5 has been spotted on Geekbench with the model code PKG110. While the Ace 5 will include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the Ace 5 Pro will offer the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.

OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro to Launch in December with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Elite SoCs

To highlight the performance of the new devices, OnePlus and Louis Lee (head of OnePlus China) shared fresh teasers on Weibo. These teasers assert that the OnePlus Ace 5 will give its Pro sibling a run for its money in the performance department. In particular, the Ace 5 features superior power consumption, temperature control, and frame rate performance versus similar devices.

OnePlus claims the performance of the Ace 5 will be comparable to Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition chipset-integrated smartphones, indicating that is able to deliver on all the fronts of efficiency and capability.

OnePlus Ace 5, OnePlus Ace 5 Pro will launch in China on the same day. The teasers hint at an official launch event later this week. Talking about OnePlus Ace 5 specs, the Geekbench listing suggests that the device may run Android 15 along with 16GB of RAM. In benchmark tests, the phone received scores of 2,261 and 7,188 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The listing also hints towards the phone being driven by an octa-core chipset with a base frequency of 2.26GHz, which aligns with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The chipset’s arrangements feature a prime CPU core at 3.30GHz, three cores clocked at 3.15GHz, two cores at 2.27GHz, and a pair at 2.96GHz bringing formidable CPU muscle. Overall, OnePlus seems to be gearing up for a strong performance-oriented release with the Ace 5 series, promising to rival other high-end smartphones in the market.
