Reddit User Claims to Buy iPhone 16 for ₹27,000, Thanks to Credit Card Reward Points

Apple last week launched the iPhone 16 with a base price of ₹79,900 for the 128GB variant. It is interesting to note that the 256GB variant has apparently been bought by a Reddit user at just ₹27,000, and these prices have left people in the online community awestruck. Priced at ₹89,900 originally the user identified itself as Wild_Muscle3506 and explained how he got it for a far lower amount.

The iPhone 16, as per the user, was purchased at ₹26,970 with a substantial price cut from its retail cost. The massive ₹62,930 savings were due to redeeming reward points through their HDFC Infinia credit card. The user stated that they had acquired these points from a massive purchase made after a period of time & played this system to their benefit.

When another user asked why they paid for jewelry with a different card, the user said world that they had used an Amazon Pay card and wanted to get 1% cashback. When they learned that their Infinia card gave them points for watches purchased, it took time to sink in, and by the time they realized this included jewelry but not before ordering more, an opportunity was lost.
