New Intel Core Ultra 7 265K Benchmarks Reveal Superior Single-Core Performance

New benchmarks for Intel’s Core Ultra 7 265K have been leaked, and it appears that the processor will outperform AMD’s AM5. Earlier, the first benchmark of Intel Core Ultra 7 265K leaks might have been inaccurate. Now, after an updated CPU-z Benchmark, the Core Ultra 7 265K returns in remarkable numbers in both single and multi-threading.

The All New Intel Core Ultra 7 265K

Core Ultra 7 265KF is Intel’s second-fastest Arrow Lake processor. It has 20 cores and 20 threads a base clock of 3.9 GHz and a boost clock of up to 5.50 GHz. The CPU includes 33 MB of L3 cache and has 125W TDP (PL1), with options for 177W (Default PL2) and 250W (Performance PL2) modes. According to the new benchmark data, this CPU runs on full steam with P-Cores hitting 5.5 GHz and E-Cores going up to a much lower 4.6 GHz.

The Core Ultra 7 265K also managed to record the following scores in benchmarks: 919.1 points in single-core tests and 16,274.6 points in multi-core tests. It is about 2% faster in single-core performance and only about 10% ahead in multi-core performance. For CPU performance we see single-core roughly on par with the Intel Core i9-14900K in its “Performance” profile and just edges out at base 14900K as well, while it does benchmark higher than AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen R 7950X which seemingly showed very little IPC gains.

For multi-threaded tasks, the Core Ultra 7 265K performs similarly to the Intel Core i9-14900K and remains ahead of the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. The performance gain over the Core i7-14700K is modest, but the final product may show improved figures.

The Core Ultra 7 265K is also indicated to display temperatures of 75°C with Prime95 stress tests. The temperature when idle is rated about 41°C, requiring a locked voltage of 1.2V. The Core Ultra 7 265K attains 170-190W power consumption in a stress test, while the Core Ultra 5 245K has 120-140W consumption, and the Core Ultra 9 285K pulls 220-240W.

It also reveals a 65°C temperature in Cinebench R23 tests while it is liquid cooling, although no details on the cooling solution are provided. While these benchmarks are promising, they may not fully represent the final product. It’s advisable to wait for official reviews before making a purchase decision. The Intel Arrow Lake launch is scheduled for October 17, so more detailed information should be available soon.
