The most recent versions of iOS 18.1 can be downloaded and installed by developers by navigating to General > Software Updates > Beta Updates in the iPhone Settings app. Just the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are eligible for the betas, as this is a specific Apple intelligence enhancement that isn’t compatible with previous models.
Apple Pushes Forward: iOS 18.1 Beta 3 and iOS 18 Beta 8 details
With iOS 18, Apple Intelligence—a set of AI features deeply woven into the operating system—is introduced. Later on, in the beta testing phase, Apple Intelligence will become an accessible feature-rich tool. It may be used to add more flavor to text, make images and emoticons, and—above all—improve Siri and search.
The Lock Screen Flashlight and Camera icons can be added or removed from the Control Center, and third-party developers are able to add controls for their apps. Improved discussions with Android users can now be had with Messages thanks to Rich Communication Services support, new text effects, scheduling text messages for later, satellite messaging in the event of cellular service outages, and the ability to utilize any emoji for Tapback responses.
Apps can now be locked and hidden so that, even with your phone unlocked, they cannot be used without additional Face ID or Touch ID authentication. There is a dedicated Passwords app for logins, passkeys, Wi-Fi passwords, and verification codes.
Two major new features in the most recent iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta 3 update are the ability to view a summary of alerts for all apps, including stock and third-party apps, and the addition of a new ‘Clean Up’ option to the Apple Intelligence-powered Photos feature.
Apple‘s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max currently have these additional features available for you to see. Stay tuned for more details and updates!
