Mohammedan Sporting are set to receive a massive boost through investment from Shrachi Group. The ISL newcomers will receive a total of ₹100 crore over the next three seasons according to TOI’s Marcus Mergulhao.
Former Indian cricket captain and Kolkata icon Sourav Ganguly played a key role in getting the deal over the line. He is also expected to work towards the long-term vision of the I-League champions, as they take to new heights in India’s top flight.

The Black and White club becomes the third from West Bengal to qualify for the ISL. They will join their rivals East Bengal and Mohun Bagan SG, who have spent several years in the division and have now built up a strong squad through investment and sponsorships.
Shrachi Group’s investment will allow the Black Panthers to build a competitive squad and develop the club’s facilities to nurture players as well.
Interestingly, Shrachi Group recently took over Rajasthan United, which currently plays in the I-League. They are also sponsoring the East Bengal Women’s team, which recently made headlines for becoming the first team to pay a transfer fee for Anthony Andrews, the head coach of Gokulam Kerala.
