Royal Enfield has introduced the Guerrilla 450 – a high-end contemporary roadster based on the Sherpa 450 platform. It shares its robust 452cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with the Himalayan 450, emphasizing both design continuity and performance enhancement. The new motorcycle is reportedly intended to revitalize Royal Enfield’s sales.

The All New Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450

Now, the company has started taking bookings of its Guerrilla 450 in India and Europe. While in India the price starts from an introductory INR 2,39,000/- (ex-showroom), test rides and retail sales will commence on August 1, 2024. European retailers will start selling in mid-August.

At the heart of the Guerrilla 450 is a liquid-cooled Sherpa engine with a displacement of 452cc, Single-cylinder four-stroke OHV quasi-overhead camshaft. Power figures stand at 40 PS @8,000 rpm; Torque comes in at a maximum of 40 Nm@5,500 rpm with over 85% arriving from as low as the 3000 mark to offer brisk drive persona. It is a water-cooled engine with an integrated pump and dual-pass radiator, internal bypass mated to a 6-speed gearbox that also has an assist and slipper clutch unit.

Key provisions include a step-through bench seat, an 11-liter fuel tank, and LED headlights with combined tail lamps. It features an upswept silencer and a steel twin-spar tubular frame, mated to 43mm telescopic fork front suspension along with a rear mono-shock linkage-type unit. Wheels measure 17 inches at front and rear, with tubeless tires for both due to better grip on the road along with decent stability through having 1440 mm of wheelbase.

The riding modes and technology are the highlights, including the Engine Management System (EMS) with ride-by-wire technology. Performance Mode and Eco Mode settings for throttle responses to suit different road conditions, and rideability in both high rate of return excitement. The instrument display in the 4-inch Tripper Dash on the Guerrilla 450 is more than merely aesthetic and could also be used to operate features such as route recording, music control, weather updates, and extensive vehicle information.

The introductory price list for August 2024 includes variants like Analogue Smoke Silver, Dash Playa Black, Flash Yellow Ribbon, and more, reflecting diverse color options and customization potential.
