Roberto De Zerbi is all set to join Marseille as their new head coach. The former Brighton manager has agreed to a contract till 2027, and his arrival has now been confirmed by the club on their official website too.
The Seagulls will receive €6 million as part of his release clause, which dropped from €15 million to less than half after he was relieved of his duties at the end of the 23/24 season.

Marseille endured a tumultuous season in 23/24, finishing eighth in the table, meaning they will not be competing in any European competitions in the new season.
The French club went through three permanent head coaches this past season, first parting ways with Marcelino only seven games into the new season before appointing Gennaro Gattuso. The Italian didn’t last long either, being sacked after only 146 days before Jean-Louis Gasset was appointed till the end of the season.
