The Galaxy Ring was briefly shown at the Mobile World Congress, previewing what may be a health-related new wearable later this year in July. While there is certainly no lack of information about the phone floating about, this is actually the first time we are seeing its charging case, and it does look nice and space-age.

The Leaked Samsung Galaxy Ring Charging Case

Samsung has been relatively quiet about the Galaxy Ring, but a few key details have leaked out, including a suggestion that the phone could sell for as much as $349.99. Variety of sizes are also leaked and it makes sense for them to have that as a matter of haldware comfort next to user comfort. Now it seems reasonable to think that the largest version of the Galaxy Ring would get up to nine hours of battery life, so we really wonder what the charging is like here.

A new image circulated by Ice Universe shows off the design of the Galaxy Ring charging case From first impressions, the design team over at Samsung have taken the time to design the case to look like a quality, sleek case. The design used here evokes classic, luxury watch boxes, indicating care for function AND form. There is a clear contrast between the cases of the Galaxy Ring and the Galaxy Buds — the Galaxy Ring case just looks a lot more premium and sophisticated than the charging case of the Galaxy Buds.

The image only shows the outside design of the charging case, as the charging modules under the hood are still a mystery. Possible claims include wireless charging, a rear charge port and more. These traits would honor current wearable housing trends where convenience and ease are obviously prioritized.

Excitement continues to grow as we inch closer to the impending launch and getting our hands on the Ring and other accessories. Samsung’s ambitions for the health-focused wearables space are matched by its design and functionality-oriented ethos, established by the thoughtfulness of the Galaxy Ring’s charging case — which certainly sets a precedent in performance and usability.
