At this Computex 2024 unveiling, we have the last silicons of these CPUs in the presence representing what the new Lunar Lake CPUs are capable of and how they perform in terms of performance.
More About the Intel Lunar Lake
Intel Core Ultra 7 268V – 8-core (4 P-Cores on Lion Cove architecture & 4 E-Cores on Skymont architecture) CPU With a base clock of 2.20 GHz and a lot of cache memory, this CPU is no slouch, close to 5 GHz speeds are possible due to the TSMC-like design. Graphics are handled by 8 Xe2 cores in the Intel Core Ultra 7 268V processor which provide up to 50% faster performance compared with the previous generation. The latest NPU4 design, meanwhile, is joined by up to 48 TOPs of AI capabilities.
Some early engineering samples of Intel Lunar Lake CPUs were earlier at Compute, but clock speeds and cache counts did not appear to match the final silicon. Seeing those early samples in those images really helps to illustrate the Lunar Lake road from the drawing board on its way to being production-ready.
Intel’s new AI DevKit running on the Lunar Lake Core Ultra 200V CPU platform. This DevKit is optimized to enable developers to optimize AI workloads on Lunar Lake and in the future on CPUs like Panther Lake and Nova Lake, to enable the adoption of AI into the mainstream and to drive innovation and efficiencies in AI development. The DevKit is set to debut to coincide with the release of Lunar Lake in Q3 2024 and shows Intel’s commitment to further enable AI workloads.
