On Thursday (June 6), Vivo released the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in India, making it the company’s first-ever foldable smartphone in the country. Vivo has launched a number of foldable-screen phones before, but only in China.
The Vivo X Fold3 Pro was launched in April this year in China and features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and Zeiss-branded triple rear cameras. The inner display on the other hand is an 8.03-inch AMOLED that can go up to 120Hz refresh rate and become a giant immersive viewing screen.
The All New Vivo X Fold 3 Pro
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has been priced at ₹1,59,999 for the single 16GB+512GB storage variant in India. It comes in Celestial Black and can be pre-booked over at the Vivo India website, as well as Amazon and Flipkart. The smartphone will be available for purchase from June 13 onwards.
Vivo is offering bank offers of up to ₹15,000 as part of the introductory offer only payments via HDFC and SBI card On the other hand, the customers can also benefit from up to ₹10,000 exchange bonus and also a one-time free screen replacement as well. It also offers up to 24 months of no-cost EMI starting at ₹6,666 per month. From June 17, the Vivo Wireless Charger 2.0 will be available for purchase on Vivo E-store and through offline channels at a price of ₹5,999.
With the launch of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, India joins the ranks of the first international markets to receive a foldable Vivo phone. It will compete against offerings such as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5, OnePlus Open, and Tecno Phantom V Fold in the Indian market.
The dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) Vivo X Fold 3 Pro runs on Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 on top. It features an 8.03-inch primary 2K E7 AMOLED display with Dolby Vision support, HDR10 support, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Additionally, it boasts a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover display, both supporting up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Powering the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC coupled with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS4.0 storage. It features a Carbon fiber hinge capable of enduring 100 folds a day for over 12 years, with glass and Aluminum alloy materials composing its construction.
Optics-wise, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro sports a Zeiss-backed triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel main camera, a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Both the cover screen and main screen house 32-megapixel selfie shooters. The handset also features Vivo’s V3 imaging chip.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C, among others. It features a plethora of sensors for various functions and carries an IPX8 rating for dust and water resistance. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro packs a 5,700mAh lithium battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, measuring 159.96×142.4×5.2mm when unfolded and weighing 236 grams.
