Leaked specifications of AMD’s allegedly Ryzen 9000 CPU stack, including the Ryzen 9 9950X, Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and Ryzen 5 9600X desktop processors based on next-generation Zen 5 cores, are in. The leak coming from @wxnod on X (originally from Twitter), a leaker known for their hardware leaks, reveals information from a presentation deck by AORUS, on AMD’s Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” Desktop CPUs and 800-series motherboards.

As far as the upcoming SKUs are concerned, there are four SKUs that AMD is said to be working on, and they include the 16 core 32 thread Ryzen 9 9950X, the 12 core 24 thread Ryzen 9 9900X, the 8 core 16 thread Ryzen 7 9700X, and the 6 core 12 thread Ryzen 5 9600. While the Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 SKUs will have the 1 CCD + 1 IOD configuration, the Ryzen 9 CPUs are supposed to have a dual CCD + 1 IOD pattern.

These have 32MB of L3 cache per CCD, with TDPs from 65W to 170W. Curiously, the slide deck from AORUS has an image that was earlier written off as fake, so this seems to confirm its rightfulness. The AMD Ryzen 9000 Desktop sample has the OPN code 100-000001290-11.

In terms of memory support, AMD’s Granite Ridge “Ryzen 9000” Desktop CPUs will feature an enhanced IMC which can support native speeds up to 5600 MT/s and up to 8000 MT/s EXPO/XMP clock speeds. Infinity Fabric Clock (FCLK) @ up to 2400 MHz. The sources add that the AMD Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPUs will maintain a similar memory configuration, which will include 16 PCIe Gen 5.0 lanes reserved for the discrete GPU and 12 Gen 5.0 lanes for M.2 slots and the Chipset interconnect, making a total of 28 lanes, the same as what we saw last time.

It is now said that AMD will be debuting a wide array of 800-series PCHs, 880E, 870, X870, and B850/B840 chipsets. With the exception of the B840, all other chipsets will enable overclocking with Ryzen 7000, Ryzen 8000, and Ryzen 9000 CPUs. Meanwhile, Maxsun has also listed the B840 chipset, likely to replace the A620 and focus on the entry segment.

The Ryzen 9000 “Granite Ridge” Desktop CPUs, featuring the latest Zen 5 core architecture, are anticipated to debut next week at AMD’s Computex 2024 keynote, with a rumored launch in July. Stay tuned for further updates.
