Diablo Immortal is set to welcome its eighth class, the Tempest, arriving on May 23. Riding in on waves and wind, the Tempest promises to bring a dynamic new playstyle to the game. To prepare the community, Blizzard has released a Dev Insights video that dives deep into the features of this new class.
Diablo Immortal – Dive Into the New Tempest Class!
Sculpted by the Storm
The Tempest is a class of warrior-priests who have mastered the elements of wind and water. This highly mobile class uses a mix of quick melee attacks, ranged knife-tipped whips, AOE (Area of Effect) attacks, and projected Zephyrs. These abilities create a versatile and engaging gameplay experience.
Zephyr Summons
One of the unique features of the Tempest is the passive skill that summons projected Zephyrs to fight alongside players. These minions mirror the class’s abilities and operate on a cooldown, offering additional versatility for this movement-focused class.
Class Introduction Quest
Players will embark on a mission as a Tempest warrior in the new class introduction quest. Set north of the Dreadlands, in the storm-battered empire of Pelghain, your mission is to rescue an island from encroaching mists. This quest sets the stage for the Tempest’s abilities and lore within the Diablo Immortal universe.
Other Gameplay Changes
Paragon Rework
In addition to introducing the Tempest, Diablo Immortal is simplifying the Paragon System. The reworked system is easier to understand and more flexible, allowing players to choose any combination of 15 skills per Paragon tree. All progress made on Paragons so far will be retained, ensuring a smooth transition for existing players.
