The Weibo user stated in a recent post that the normal SDR brightness of the iPhone 16 Pro will reach 1,200 nits, which would be a 20% improvement over the variants that are now available. It appears that the peak HDR brightness of 1,600 nits will not change.

iPhone 16 Pro tipped to launch with 20% brighter display details

The basic iPhone 16 models are believed to have a revised camera configuration on the outside. The two rear camera sensors will now be positioned vertically rather than diagonally, but otherwise the overall design language will not change. The ‘Pro’ versions of the range will essentially have the same design, but the display sizes of the two models will grow from 6.1 to 6.3 inches and from 6.7 to 6.9 inches.

A maximum brightness level of 2,000 nits when the phone is outside and the same Maximum HDR (High Dynamic Range) brightness level of 1,600 nits are allegedly what Apple will continue to use.

The SDR brightness of the iPhone has not been altered by Apple since the release of the iPhone 13 Pro. With the iPhone 16 Pro series, the business might offer better brightness levels after a few years of resting at 1,000 nits. SDR is employed in most scenarios, and a 20 percent jump would be good, even though peak brightness is useful in outdoor conditions.

There will be other display-related changes for the iPhone 16 Pro versions in addition to the brightness boost. Reports state that Apple will probably enlarge the display panels on both Pro models. The alleged 6.27-inch (159.31 mm) and 6.85-inch (174.06 mm) screens on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max variants, respectively, are claimed to be present.
