The most awaited day for the iPhone lovers just appears. Today, on the special Apple Event, the company showcases the entire iPhone 12 lineup along with the new HomePod Mini. Just like the earlier generations, Apple, this time too, comes with a breakthrough and that’s the 5G technology.

Before going into deeper, let you know, the main and only difference between the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini is the screen size. That’s all. Now, let’s proceed.

The pair of iPhone 12 models have Super Retina HDR displays with 6.1-inch and 5.4-inch sizes respectively. We all know, same as all features, Apple also doesn’t compromise in the case of durability. For that, this year, the company introduces Ceramic Shield. Apple claims it can provide four times drop protection than earlier. Though the aluminum body is also responsible for that too. Additionally, the iPhone 12 models are capable to resist spills and splash better than ever.

Besides the solid outlook, the new iPhones are coming with more power. Thanks to the A14 Bionic SoC which is industries first SoC built on 5nm technology. To get an idea about what exactly the new A14 Bionic is, please go through this article. Needless to say, for the presence of the powerful A14 Bionic, the new iPhones can easily handle heavy games with huge graphics.

I already mentioned about the displays. Here are some more details. These displays have the capability to reach up to 1,200 nits HDR brightness and hold a 20,00,000:1 contrast ratio. All the contents will float up with sharper details as the brights become brighter and darks turned darker too. Considering the entire design, it’s 11% thinner, 15% smaller, and 16% lighter than earlier iPhones.

Coming to the camera part, the collaboration between the camera modules, the image processing power of A14 Bionic, and the software produce superb quality of image outputs. The setup contains a 12MP ultra-wide image sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 120 degrees field of view along with another 12MP wide shooter having f/1.6 aperture and support of OIS. Apple also improves the low light performance by 27% for both images and videos. Users who love to take shots at night, here’s good news for them. All three cameras now have the support of the night mode as well as the smart HDR3. For videos, here are the supported resolutions and features along with the frame rates.

4K24fps, 30fps, 60fps
1080p30fps, 60fps
720p30fps

The earlier iPhones have the support of wireless charging, but the user needs to place the handset at the proper place. Otherwise many problems like slow charging arose. As a solution, Apple comes with the MagSafe charging technology. With the use of MagSafe accessories i.e. MagSafe case and MagSafe Wallet, the phone aligns perfectly on the charging pad.

Apart from all these, the new iPhones are packed with the iOS 14 and has five color options – Blue, Green, Red, White, and Black. Three storage choices are also there – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Here are the pricing details.
