Motorola is poised to broaden its product range in India, following the recent debut of the entry-level G04 smartphone. Now, the company is gearing up for the launch of its mid-range offering the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. Scheduled for release in the market on April 30th this new device is expected to bring in Pantone-approved color choices, a sleek display, and more aligned with the standards of other smartphones in the Edge series.

The upcoming smartphone by Motorola will be sold through Flipkart, the Motorola website and select retail stores. It will come in three color options; purple and silver along with a 6.7-inch 3D curved OLED screen.
With pricing anticipated to be below ₹30,000, the Edge 50 Pro aims to establish itself in the mid-range category by offering users an appealing mix of features and affordability. This pricing strategy coincides with rumored specs such as a refresh rate display for visuals a strong camera setup for excellent photography results and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset ensuring top-notch performance.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be available in purple and silver variants with a 6.67 inch 1.5K curved pOLED screen boasting an impressive 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 2,000 units. The display is HDR10+ certified with coverage of the DCI P3 color gamut and SGS-certified blue light protection. Furthermore, Pantone has officially acknowledged its color reproduction guaranteeing image and video rendering.
Recent reports hint at the possibility of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro featuring a 50MP camera sensor equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens for capturing photos. There are whispers about it being equipped with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 125W wired charging and convenient 50W charging capabilities.
Although earlier speculation pointed towards a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, recent Geekbench listings hint at the utilization of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Built on the 4nm process, this chipset is expected to deliver robust performance, complemented by an Adreno 720 GPU for demanding graphics tasks. Additionally, the Edge 50 Pro may offer up to 12GB of RAM to facilitate seamless multitasking.
