OnePlus President and COO Kinder Liu explained that the OnePlus 12R was mistakenly listed as supporting UFS 4.0 storage on some versions “due to an error” in a post on OnePlus Community.
OnePlus 12R confirmed to have UFS 3.1 storage Not UFS 4.0 on all variants
He clarified that the company’s Trinity Engine software, which is designed to enhance the phone’s performance, is included with all OnePlus 12R versions and is compatible with UFS 3.1. The corrected information is currently displayed on the handset’s listing.
OnePlus says that “UFS 3.1 storage is the same storage you’ll find in phones like the OnePlus 11 Series, so your phone will still perform really well when reading and writing to memory.”
As a result of the brand’s confirmation that the 12R is completely approved by TUV SUD with UFS 3.1 memory, the device is being marketed as “still certified to remain fluent for 48 months.” As for the OnePlus 12R, the company promises it will “stay fast and smooth long into the future.” We are unable to discuss the OnePlus 12R’s long-term use, but we can state that it did well in our tests.
In comparison to UFS 3.1, version 4.0 provides increased speed and efficiency in terms of power usage. In comparison to earlier generations, UFS 4.0 also offers improved encryption for the data stored on it for increased security.
