We all know that Apple is mainly known for its premium gadgets with a higher price range. The company uses some good technology in its devices and it is quite obvious that Apple’s devices will charge you more than others. But today’s news is something else. Apple has announced its 8th generation iPad at Apple’s special online event on September 15, which is also when pre-orders started. The tablet became available today with a starting price range of $329 for the Wi-Fi-only model with 32GB of storage, which is quite reasonable.
This 8th generation iPad is quite similar to its predecessor that was launched last year. Only the chipset is different this time. The 8th Gen iPad is powered by the Apple A12 Bionic chip. This is the replacement of the older A10 Fusion featured first in the iPhone 7 series from 2016.
The 8th generation iPad from Apple is an entry-level model named as iPad 10.2 (2020). It is quite a destructive name. Another good thing is if you order this device on Walmart, then you have to pay only $299 for that 32GB model. This iPad comes in two different color variants: Space Gray and gold (the silver SKU isn’t available yet).
Let’s check out why this 8th gen iPad is so much popular:
>> It has a Retina IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with a size of 10.2 inches, 324.6 cm2Â (~74.4% screen-to-body ratio), and resolution of 1620 x 2160 pixels, 4:3 ratio (~264 ppi density).
>> It is powered by the A12 Bionic chip (7 nm) paired by two different RAM variants: 32GB 3GB RAM and 128GB 3GB RAM.
>> Coming to the camera this will offer a single rear camera which includes an 8MP camera (f/2.4, 31mm (standard), 1.12µm, AF). You can record videos on 1080p@30fps, 720p@120fps, and HDR format. Regarding the selfie, this iPad offers a selfie camera of 1.2MP (f/2.2, 31mm (standard)). You can record 720p@30fps videos by the selfie camera.
>> Most importantly it supports 3.5 mm headphone jack with loud stereo speakers.
>> The 8th gen iPad has a front-mounted fingerprint sensor and a non-removable Li-Po battery (32.4 Wh). The company claims up to 10 hours of multimedia support on a single full charge. It also has all other connectivity features like Wifi, Bluetooth, and so on.
That is almost 10% less than the device’s pricing, which is quite good enough. Though Walmart has not confirmed anything whether this is a limited time offer or not. But for now, if you want to have the 8th generation Apple iPad, then just go ahead and order one from Walmart. You might not get the same price tag after some hours.
