Fabio Carvalho has completed his return to Liverpool from RB Leipzig and will now leave on loan once again for the second half of the season. The Reds were disappointed over the lack of playing time the midfielder received in the Bundesliga and have now made the decision to send him on loan elsewhere so that he can get regular minutes and continue his development.
Southampton have emerged as one of the teams that could land Carvalho for the second half of the 23/24 season. The Championship club would certainly give him regular minutes, but it would result in a step down considering RB Leipzig were playing in the Champions League and are set to face Real Madrid in the Round of 16.

According to renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the player will certainly leave on loan once again. But the club he will play for has not been determined yet as several offers are currently on the table.
Liverpool’s decision to recall him from Leipzig has shown that they are prioritising game time for Fabio Carvalho. And as a result, any club that signs him will have to integrate him into their first team right away.
Carvalho was signed from Fulham in 2022, but hasn’t been able to convince Jurgen Klopp to give him a regular spot in the team. The management expects him to be ready once he has completed another loan spell, as he is considered a part of their future project.
