Everyone is waiting for the release of both movies, the Christmas 2023 weekend is going to be a happening one, as both the movie Salaar and Dunki are releasing on 21st December and 22nd December respectively.
Dunki is going to be released in only one language, while Salaar is a Pan India movie that is going to be released in different languages. Two days before its release, the movie Dunki has made a pre-sales of 7 crore mark. It has sold approx 218.7K tickets worth 6.50 crores gross. Although it is not as good as the previous two movies of SRK’s earlier in this year. It is going to be very interesting to see where the advances finish for the movie.
Salaar has made a good opening in comparison to the other movies of Prabhas. it is peaking at a decent level and has crossed the 1 crore mark. The film has sold around 32.4K tickets worth 1 crore in Hindi. The overall pre-sales is approx. 5.30 crores and sold around 216.70K tickets. However, in the Telugu region, the booking for the movie has not started on a full-fledged basis. So, it is expected that the movie will get a good response.
Dunki is a comedy-drama-based movie that mainly focuses on illegal immigration, this movie makes the biggest collaboration between the two giants in the Bollywood industry, i.e. SRK and Raj Kumari Hirani. The unexpected duo tempted the audience and made them expect more from the movie.
Meanwhile, Salaar is a Telugu movie starring Prabhas, for the very first time directed by the Kannada director named Prashanth Neel. After many flop movies of Prabhas, all of his fans are eagerly waiting for this movie in the hope of expecting the best from him. The story of the movie is expected to be released in two parts. It is an action drama the story is based on two best friends who turned into biggest enemies.
In the competition between Salaar vs Dunki, both will face stiff competition. If the movie releases on a solo basis, the occupancy generally will be around 60-70%. But some screens will have Aquaman, whereas when both the movie will be released then it is expected to get 50-50 screens in the best scenario.
