In a swift response, the LLC commissioner wasted no time in firing a legal notice at Sreesanth, citing a breach of contract during the LLC T20 tournament. The notice explicitly declared that any dialogue with the pacer would only be entertained once he removes the controversial videos within the framework of the league.

The feud between Sreesanth and Gambhir unfolded on the LLC field, with a celebratory gesture by Sreesanth after Gambhir’s dismissal adding fuel to the fire. Gambhir’s cryptic social media response, “Smile when the world is all about attention!” added an air of mystery to the controversy. Meanwhile, umpires’ reports made no mention of Sreesanth’s claims.

Amidst the chaos, LLC initiated an internal investigation, promising to address any proof of misconduct strictly. Sreesanth’s decision to take the matter to social media prompted the league to consider it a breach of contract, intensifying the legal battle.

The term ‘fixer’ holds historical weight for Sreesanth, who faced a life ban from cricket in 2013 over his alleged involvement in the IPL spot-fixing scandal. Despite his ban being reduced to seven years by the Supreme Court in 2019, the use of the term remains deeply offensive to the fast bowler.
