Vivo introduced its latest smartphone series, the X100 series, in China earlier this month, featuring the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro models. While initially launched in China, these smartphones are now anticipated to make their way to global markets, including India.
Recent findings on the Bluetooth SIG website revealed the Indian and global variants of both the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro, identified by the model numbers V2308 and V2309. Although the listing lacks detailed specifications, it strongly hints at an imminent global launch.
The Upcoming Vivo X100 and X100 Pro
Although Vivo has not officially announced the global release date, it is expected to happen soon, with the international models likely maintaining the same specifications and features as their Chinese counterparts. In China, the device starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately ₹45,600), while the Pro model begins at CNY 4,999 (approximately ₹57,000).
Both the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro share a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 2800×1260 resolution, a 3,000-nit peak brightness, and 2,160Hz PWM dimming. Both are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor. Notably, the primary differences between the two lie in their camera and battery specifications.
The smartphone boasts a 50MP primary camera, a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP front camera for selfies. On the other hand, the Vivo X100 Pro features a 50MP 1-inch main camera sensor, a 50MP 4.3X periscope telephoto lens, the same 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP selfie camera.
In terms of battery and charging capabilities, the Vivo X100 is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 120W wired fast charging, while the Pro variant features a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Both smartphones run on the OriginOS 4 skin with Android 14 layered on top, although in India, they will come with Funtouch OS. The X100 series offers a compelling range of features catering to diverse user preferences.
