iQOO Neo 9 Series Set to Launch in December with Teased Design Preview

The launch of the iQOO Neo 9 series in China has been officially confirmed, succeeding the iQOO Neo 8 lineup revealed in May this year. Initially rumored for a Q1 2024 launch, iQOO has now announced the series will debut in December this year. A Weibo post by iQOO revealed a glimpse of one iQOO Neo 9 model in a red and white dual-tone design, featuring an IR blaster on the top edge and volume rockers along with the power button on the left edge.

The teased iQOO Neo 9 model exhibits a dual rear camera setup, with sensors placed in separate rectangular cutouts arranged vertically at the top left corner of the back panel. The handset’s name is positioned below the camera units, and the brand name appears in the bottom left corner.

Simultaneously, a MySmartPrice report notes that the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, identified with the model number V2339A, has been spotted on China’s 3C certification site. The listing indicates support for up to 120W wired charging, akin to the preceding model. The report specifies that chargers associated with model numbers V12060L0A0-CN and V12060L1A0-CN can deliver outputs at 15W, 18W, 66W, and 120W. These chargers also purportedly support 15W, 27W, 36W, 45W, and 100W outputs via USB Power Delivery, along with up to 100W charging through the PPS protocol.

Previous leaks have suggested that the base iQOO Neo 9 will feature a 6.78-inch display, and one of the models may include a 1.49-inch Sony IMX920 50-megapixel primary rear camera sensor. The base iQOO Neo 9 is expected to house a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, offering configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

On the other hand, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro is likely to be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. Both models are anticipated to run on Android 14-based FunTouchOS 14 or OriginOS 4, varying by region.
