All About Solo Leveling Anime Adaptation
Additionally, “LEvel” will be released as Tomorrow X Together’s newest single on January 24 and is currently available for pre-order on the Weverse Shop’s online store. The members of Tomorrow X Together also delivered a special video message to Solo Leveling fans, introducing themselves to the dedicated fanbase. They emphasized that the OP theme reflects the strength of the main character, Sung Jin-woo, “through a song with a dark and heavy vibe,” and expressed their hope that audiences would enjoy their performances alongside the anime adaptation.
As for the production team behind Solo Leveling, the anime is based on the immensely popular webtoon of the same name. It follows the story of Sung Jin-woo, a young hunter who is often ridiculed for holding the lowest ranking among hunters worldwide. A-1 Pictures is the animation studio overseeing the project, with director Shunsuke Nakashige leading the production of the anime adaptation. Joining Nakashige are Noboru Kimura and Tomoko Sudo, who take on the roles of scriptwriter and character designer, respectively.
In a synopsis from the English translation of the series, it’s described as follows: “Known as the Weakest Hunter of All Mankind, E-rank hunter Sung Jin-woo’s contributions to raids amount to trying not to get killed. Unfortunately, between his mother’s hospital bills, his sister’s tuition, and his own lack of job prospects, he has no choice but to continue to put his life on the line.
So when an opportunity arises for a bigger payout, he takes it…only to come face-to-face with a being whose power outranks anything he’s ever seen! With the party leader missing an arm and the only healer a quivering mess, can Jin-woo somehow find them a way out?” Solo Leveling is set to air in January 2024 and will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
