MSI is set to introduce a range of high-end QD-OLED gaming monitors in 2024, boasting cutting-edge features and specifications. Previously leaked information gave a sneak peek into MSI’s upcoming QD-OLED gaming monitor lineup, and the company has now officially confirmed the models, with an expected release window in 2024.
The Upcoming MSI QD-OLED Gaming Monitor Lineup
In an official statement, MSI, a renowned manufacturer of gaming hardware, has announced the expansion of its QD-OLED gaming monitor lineup. OLED panels have become the preferred choice for high-end gaming in recent years, and to maintain a leading position in gaming monitors, MSI is proud to unveil its new QD-OLED monitor series.
All models in this lineup will feature the latest generation of QD-OLED panels and will be available in both curved and flat configurations. Extensive research and design efforts have been invested to ensure exceptional picture quality, with precise pixel lighting control and the ability to deliver true black scenes.
Furthermore, MSI has upgraded its OLED Care 2.0 technology, enhancing screen protection optimization to minimize the risk of OLED panel damage during prolonged use. The fan-less design incorporates graphene’s excellent thermal conductivity, allowing for efficient and silent heat dispersion and thereby extending the lifespan of these innovative QD-OLED panels.
Two prominent curved models lead the lineup: the MAG 341CQP QD-OLED and the MPG 491CQP QD-OLED. Both models offer a rapid 0.03ms GTG response time and a 144Hz refresh rate. The MAG 341CQP QD-OLED boasts a 34″ UWQHD QD-OLED 1800R curved panel, while the MPG 491CQP QD-OLED features a 49″ DQHD QD-OLED 1800R curved panel.
These models also incorporate essential elements such as VESA certification for ClearMR 9000 and DisplayHDR True Black 400, ensuring vivid imagery and reducing the impact of motion blur. OLED Care 2.0 enhances panel care and reduces the risk of OLED burn-in. Additionally, MSI Gaming Intelligence (G.I.) powered by AI technology enhances the gaming experience, offering features like Smart Crosshair, Night Vision AI, Optix Scope, and more.
For console gamers, HDMI 2.1 ports with a full 48Gbps bandwidth are available, supporting 120Hz, VRR, and ALLM. MSI’s Console mode incorporates CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) for single-controller device control, and Type-C connectivity is provided for improved mobile device connectivity.
MSI is also introducing flat QD-OLED monitors with resolutions ranging from 27″ WQHD to 32″ WUHD and refresh rates up to 360Hz. These flat displays significantly enhance the visual performance of AAA games, especially those in the FPS genre.
