The Xiaomi 14 series is set to make its debut today at an event in China. This new smartphone lineup comprises two models, namely the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. Moreover, there is a possibility of an ‘Ultra’ variant being introduced to the series, particularly in the global market. This speculation arises from the fact that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has already been sighted on the IMEI database and recently surfaced on the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) certification site, hinting at an imminent global launch.
The Rumored Xiaomi 14 Ultra
The EEC listing, which features a Xiaomi smartphone with the model number 24030PN60G, corresponds to the global version of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, based on the IMEI database. While this suggests an impending global release, there hasn’t been official confirmation about whether the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be launched in China as well. So far, only the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have been officially confirmed for the Chinese market. The Ultra variant may be intended exclusively for global markets outside China. The EEC listing, aside from confirming the existence of the phone, doesn’t provide any additional information.
Details regarding the Xiaomi 14 Ultra remain scarce. It is anticipated to be a flagship smartphone, likely powered by the newly unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The device is also rumored to feature Leica-powered cameras and a front camera with the capability to record 4K videos.
In addition to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, an EEC listing also identified a Redmi smartphone with the model number 23129RN51X. However, it is currently unclear which specific Redmi phone this model number corresponds to.
Concerning the Xiaomi 14 series launch, it is scheduled for later today in China. The Xiaomi 14 is confirmed to sport a 6.36-inch display, potentially an AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to feature a larger 6.6-inch AMOLED 2.5D display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Notably, the Xiaomi 14 series has been confirmed to debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, marking it as the first of its kind in the market.
