TCL has debuted its AIPQ EngineGen 2 at IFA 2020. The Global leading consumer electronics company has once again raised the bar for global display technology innovation. It promises to deliver disrupting the audio-visual performance.
TCL’s AIPQ Engine Gen-2, utilizes the full potential of TCL’s big-screen TVs with the Audio-Visual optimization, in accordance with various entertainment genres. The engine Gen-2 is driven by Machine learning Algorithm to match the vast knowledge of human visual perception.
AIPQ engine Gen-2 will allow customers to enjoy non-4K TV content with TCL’s leading 4K display capacity. As well as, offering power color and contrast performance. The AI Super Resolution Upscaling Functionality of the engine Gen-2 upscales the non-4K content to reach 4K quality.
Lets talk about some of its feaures
- The engine Gen-2 automatically recognizes the content type and optimizes the picture sets.
- It can also adjust settings separately for facial and background content such as landscapes, animation, night scenes, and motions.
- In addition, the engine gen-2 can also detect the ambient environment using TV mics.
- The volume is automatically adjusted in accordance with the surrounding environment.
- TCL has invested billion-dollars for display panel production facility for its TV line-ups, to improve the quality of TV displays hosting the latest tech.
- According to its developer expertise, the engine gen-2 is expected to upscale non-4K content.
- Its AI Super Resolution will handle frame-by-frame upscaling.
The company is currently ranked number two is U.S among TV brands. It has recently joined hands with JOLED Inc. to develop inkjet-printed QD-OLED. TCL has not yet revealed many details about the working of the new chip, nor has it released any information on TVs that will host the new engine.
Although, it is expected to come with the launch of TCL’s Quantum Dot Pro 8 and 6 series in the future. Hopefully, the company will continue with its policy of making its high-end TVs more affordable, too.
