Reports suggest that Realme is actively developing the Realme GT 5 Pro, though there’s no official confirmation regarding its release date. In anticipation of an official announcement from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, details about its specifications have surfaced online.
The device is expected to feature a curved AMOLED display with a 2K resolution. It’s rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and is expected to come equipped with a 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Specs and Features of the Upcoming Realme GT 5 Pro
Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station, in a Weibo post, has provided leaked specifications for the Realme GT 5 Pro. According to the leak, the phone will run on Android 14 and sport a BOE AMOLED curved display with 2K resolution. It will be powered by the as-yet-unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, complemented by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of its camera setup, the Realme GT 5 Pro is rumored to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX966 rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV64B telephoto periscope camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom. Additionally, it’s said to house a 5,400mAh battery that supports both 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Realme GT 5 Pro is expected to offer enhancements over the Realme GT 5. The latter made its debut in China in August with a starting price of CNY 2,999 for the base model, featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The Realme GT 5 is equipped with a 6.74-inch full-HD+ display boasting a 144Hz refresh rate, and it’s powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Its camera system comprises a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor, and includes a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Two battery and charging configurations are available for the Realme GT 5 — a 5,240mAh battery with 150W fast charging support and a 4,600mAh battery with 240W fast charging.
