A few days earlier, research reports revealed that Apple leads the world smartwatch market in the case of both shipped volume and value. Now, another research by the same platform, Counterpoint is saying 60% smartwatches around the world have the heart rate monitoring facility.
The fall detection and blood oxygen are the two features, the report is saying may be adopted for the smartwatches on a mass scale in the future.
The Research Director Jeff Fieldhack said, “The massive leaps in battery life and processing power are helping to better track overall health as continual heart rate, sleep, and other monitoring can be done instead of the device sitting on a charger,”
Among the smartwatch makers, Apple generally provides the best health wearables, on the other hand, the Korean giant Samsung is now started offering blood oxygen and fall detection tool including the blood pressure monitoring and ECG readings with the Galaxy Watch 3. Though the ECG facility is available in the US.
The Counterpoint report reads, “Huawei’s Lite OS and Amazfit’s Amazfit OS are growing fast. Further, the cellular-capable smartwatch is becoming more popular and accounts for more than one in four smartwatches shipped, benefitting the likes of Qualcomm,”
