The Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi launched their Redmi K30 Ultra as a part of their budget-centric Redmi lineup in their native country a few days ago. Although Xiaomi also launched the Mi 10 Ultra, which is their super flagship, the Redmi K30 Ultra a “flagship killer” honestly, turned out to be selling like hotcakes.
Xiaomi via its Weibo account announced that its new Redmi K30 Ultra has made a new record when it comes to sales. As cited by the company, the flagship killer phone went on flash sale and did end up selling as much as 100,000 units in just 60 seconds. This shows how people are keener on the mid-range smartphone segment.
The Redmi K30 Ultra with Dimensity 1000+ SoC seems to be one of the most wanted phones by the buying crowd. There are a lot of rumors surrounding that the phone might not make it to other markets, but considering how popular it is in China, Xiaomi will surely launch its flagship-killer with either ‘Mi’ or ‘Poco’ branding.
Redmi K30 Ultra features a 6.67-inch AMOLED full view display. It has a pop-up selfie camera of 20MP that has light indicators like the Redmi K20 series. The phone has a quad-camera layout like the Redmi K30. It includes a 64MP primary shooter, a 13MP ultrawide snapper, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner and features MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 1000+ SoC paired with up to 8 GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The phone runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 10. The phone is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and the charger is provided in the box.
Redmi K30 Ultra is priced at CNY 1,999 ($287) for the 6GB + 128GB variant, CNY 2,199 ($316) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, CNY 2,499 ($360) for the 8GB + 256GB model and even the 8GB + 512GB version is also available for CNY 2,699 ($388). The next sale of the Redmi K30 Ultra is at 10 o’clock on August 18th in China.
