Brighton and Hove Albion have agreed a club record deal worth €40 million with Ajax to sign Mohammed Kudus. The negotiations have been advanced since July, and the two clubs now have an agreement for the transfer to go through.

After signing Joao Pedro this summer as their record signing, the Seagulls have broken their most expensive signing record once again in a span of months. This time, investing in another exciting talent who had interest from several other Premier League clubs as well.

An agreement on personal terms is pending, with discussions ongoing between the two parties. Since the two clubs have settled on the details of the transfer, once the details of the contract are finalised, Kudus will be on his way to the Premier League.

Mohammed Kudus will join the likes of Mahmoud Dahoud, James Milner, Adrian Mazilu and Bart Verbruggen to also be signed for the club this summer. They achieved a club record sixth placed finish last year, qualifying for the Europa League in the process.

And now, they have reinforced their squad to be able to deliver in continental football as well. It now remains to be seen which other players Brighton sign to reinforce their squad, and whether Ajax are able to rebuild their squad after so many outgoings.
