During a recent earnings call, Intel reported that all products and programmes are on or ahead of schedule, with Arrow Lake now running in Fabs. After several quarters in the red, Intel’s Q2 2023 earnings saw the business return to profitability. The excellent news came as a result of considerable reorganisation and the PC market’s re-stabilization. According to the company, the client business, which covers typical PC users, performed better than projected, and the company was able to increase market share in Q2 while keeping CPU stocks at a healthy level.

During the call, Intel’s CEO, Pat Gelsinger, confirmed that all of their programmes were on or ahead of schedule, which means that the upcoming Client and Data Centre chips will be available on time, and Meteor Lake production is ramping up and will be available in the coming months.

Arrow Lake, the generation that follows Meteor Lake and will be created in 2024 with Lunar Lake CPUs, is the second “Volume” client product mentioned. Intel has already begun production of Arrow Lake chips in fabs. These chips are expected to be released between 2024 and 2025 and will incorporate numerous major breakthroughs such as Foveros, 3D chiplets, Power Via, and Backside power routing for increased efficiency inside a completely disaggregated chip design.

For the Data Centre, Intel has confirmed the release of three significant products: 5th Gen Emerald Rapids in Q4 2023, Sierra Forest with Intel 3 in 1H 2024, and Granite Rapids shortly after. Both next-generation “2024” Xeon CPUs with P-Cores and E-Cores are now being validated in volume across various clients who have powered on the first chips on their boards.

The silicon is also meeting its power and performance goals. Intel also stated that its GPU line for HPC, codenamed Falcon Shores, will target the AI space with Gaudi 3 by 2024-2025, with a follow-up, Falcon Shores 2, expected in 2026.
