Portronics Toad Ergo Mouse – Is it worth the buy for ₹599?
Finding the right mouse for your everyday needs is indeed a tiresome job and getting the best option is again a time-consuming process, while everyone has different tastes in terms of their everyday usage mouse, nowadays people tend to prefer ergonomic options mostly. So, the trend of vertical wireless mouse has recently taken over and while I have mostly used the regular and the Master series from Logitech, I was really interested to review this Portronics Toad Ergo Mouse.

The vertical mouse looks nice in this Black color with a slight grey touch on the above side, the fit and finish of this device are really classy and will remind you of a premium Logitech mouse.
However, it’s light because of plastic which again makes it easier to hold and move around, the Portronics Toad Ergo has been designed beautifully, keeping the buttons where needed, making it feel elegant and pricey.
Comfort & Usage
One of the most important things for any mouse is its comfort and if you are obsessed with it and need a really comfortable mouse, then this is the best one. Though at first it kind of felt weird to try this vertical mouse which I guess most people will be but with days, as you get used to holding it like this you will actually feel light and comfortable using it daily.
The Portronics Toad Ergo Mouse encourages you to have a more natural hand position, reducing the prolonged strain of using it in your hand’s thanks to the unique design. The grip of the mouse is spot on and holding it with your hands feels nice and comfy, the natural curve gives your finger gentle comfort to rest while working and it’s effortless to click on the mouse buttons.
Buttons
Well, there’s this left and right button on the right-hand side, in a totally new way, making it look as if you are holding it and using it simultaneously, yes it might be weird at first but will get used to it as you use it. Then there’s the scroll wheel embedded into the right-hand side just between the two primary buttons which is quite functional, firm as well as usable. The DPI button is at the top while the back and forward buttons are on the left-hand side for those who love to quickly navigate.
Verdict
So, should you buy this new Portronics Toad Ergo Vertical Mouse? Well, I have been using it for weeks now, in terms of usability I didn’t face any issues, though there’s no Bluetooth support but the wireless receiver works as expected. The DPI is good enough for everyday work and casual gaming as well, it’s not purposely meant for strong usage back and forth but for people who are lazy, and want to enjoy while holding the mouse honestly.
Well, I did really enjoy this vertical mouse and do realize why people are flocking to this new norm, kudos to this Portronics Toad Ergo that while being affordable, it somewhat gives a premium experience to those who want one on a budget. Serving the basic purpose of usability accompanied with comfort, with no extra features like app support or such, the Portronics Toad Ergo is clean and simple, worth spending for and experiencing.
