How to Join Threads on Instagram – Guide

How to Join Threads on Instagram: Facebook and Instagram are both owned by Meta, which launched Threads on Wednesday. According to Meta, the Instagram team developed the software, which enables users to publish brief updates and posts that can contain text, photographs, links, and videos.

You may sign in to the new Threads app using your Instagram login and password. With the option to personalize your Threads profile, your Instagram username and verification status will be carried over to your Threads account.

Users under the age of 16 or 18, depending on the country—will automatically receive a profile that is in private mode—Post text-based updates using Threads. Links, images, and videos of up to five minutes can all be included in posts up to 500 characters long. A press release stated that you can add a Threads post to your Instagram story.

The app will function much like Twitter in that users may upload their ideas for the world to see, and then others can reshare, like, and remark on them, similar to how you can retweet, comment, and like tweets on Elon Musk’s platform. The app, which was once known as Project 92, has been in development since January of this year.

Even before Threads launched, Twitter’s former CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey threw a sly jab at Meta over user data harvesting. “All your threads belong to us,” tweeted Dorsey, sharing a snapshot of the user data that Threads will be gathering. On Dorsey’s tweet, Elon Musk added a ‘Yeah’ reply in accord.
