Samsung Exynos Auto V920 official specs revealed

Samsung has officially revealed the specifications of their Exynos Auto V920 CPU, which features an Xclipse GPU and is driven by AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture. Samsung has revealed its brand new Exynos Auto V920 chip, which replaces the Exynos Auto V9 chip and boasts updated features, including the brand new AMD RDNA 2 GPU architecture.

The Samsung Exynos Auto V920 has ten Arm Cortex-A78AE cores in two quad-core and one dual-core clusters, providing a 70% gain in CPU performance alone and improved efficiency thanks to the Samsung 5nm production node.

However, the second significant component of the device is the GPU, which is based on the Xclipse design. The device also includes a dual-core NPU for AI capabilities, with speed up to 23.1 TOPS, which is 2.7x faster than its predecessor.

The Samsung Xclipse GPU is based on AMD’s RDNA 2 graphics architecture and can run up to six high-resolution displays at the same time in 3x 5K (8K2K) or 3x DFHD (38401440) resolutions, providing a great experience for the infotainment system and the GUI scattered throughout the vehicle. The Exynos Auto V920 features LPDDR5 memory with up to 102 GB/s bandwidth, a UFS 3.1 storage system, 2x USXGMII 10 Gbps Ethernet connections, 4K 240FPS video decoding, and 4K 120FPS video encoding.

The Exynos V920 from Samsung supports up to 12 cameras, the new 144dB HDR with an on-die 4-exposure merging, the latest HiFi 5 cores for audio processing, and enhanced security measures to guard against assaults.
