HP has updated its existing Pavilion Gaming 15 laptops with the latest Ryzen 4000H gaming previously, previously which was thought to be exclusively available on Amazon Prime Day is now available for orders. It’s the same laptop of previous year just with the updated specs, so do not expect any extraordinary thing or so.
Coming to the hardware, the gaming laptop features a 6 core 12 threaded AMD Ryzen 5 4600H with 3.0 GHz base clock speed and up to 4.0 GHz boost clock speed. In real life, the gaming processor performs almost like a Core i7-10750H and even better for productivity-related tasks, also it is paired with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD or 1TB HDD. Also in the coming days, the Ryzen 7 4800H variants should be available.
The HP Pavilion Gaming 15 laptop sports a 15.6-inch full-HD display with 144Hz and 60Hz refresh rate options. The display here is quite slim along with super-slim bezels and it has a large 79% screen-to-body ratio.
On the graphics front, you have both NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 and GTX 1650Ti options with 4GB VRAM. The laptop comes with Windows 10 Home pre-installed and weighs just 1.98kg, also HP claims that the laptop will give up to 8 hours battery life, most likely on low to medium usage, and it can because of low power consuming 7nm SoC.
The gaming laptop also has an angular black chassis. For cooling, HP has implemented dual-fan design along with a wide rear corner vent and enlarged air inlets that all are touted to help deliver maximum airflow. The HP Pavilion Gaming 15 comes with a backlight keyboard that matches the color of the laptop – either green, purple, or the standard white depending on which model you choose.
It features 3 USB ports (1 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Type A), 1 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Type C)), HDMI Port, Multi Card Slot, Headphone and Mic Combo Jack, RJ45 (LAN) ports.
