The men in yellow defeated the Delhi Capitals at their home ground by a huge margin of 77 runs and sealed a victory again with a team effort. Indeed the team has been doing well through the season, and CSK is again a big contender to win the title this season.
The Match
CSK primarily started the match on a high note when the openers, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway,, were destructive in their opening partnership. The former one scored 70 of 50 balls with three fours and seven sixes, and the latter one achieved 87 runs with 11 fours and 3 sixes. They only set the tone for CSK, and the other batters hardly had anything to do. With the help of the cameo innings from Jadeja and Shivam Dube, CSK reached a mammoth total of 223 with the loss of 3 wickets only.
CSK kept up their performance at the time of bowling as well, as no one from the Delhi Capitals except David Warner was able to bat well, which eventually helped the men in yellow secure a huge win. Only the DC skipper scored big which was 86 of 58 balls with seven fours and five sixes. All the bowlers from the winning team picked up wickets in frequent intervals.
