Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi has a huge market in Asia for Smart TVs and its own UI is used in all of them. Xiaomi calls the UI for its Smart TV – MIUI for TV and its version 3.0 is here with many noticeable changes an improvements.
MIUI for TV 3.0Â has been launched for the Xiaomi Mi TV series of devices but is limited to all the Mi TV users in Asia only. So, outside people have to wait for the update that promises a bunch of new features and UI enhancements as well.
Xiaomi has officially described its new MIUI for TV 3.0 as “an artificial intelligence tv system that really knows what you know and knows.” It adjusts the UI design, emphasizes the content first and their new animations as well.
Viewing any content has changed a bit as there’s a detailed page during inline playback, what we see with Netflix. There’s also a minimalist mode where the content and function of the entrance is to simplify the paving. The children’s mode can be controlled via mobile that makes it easier for parents to monitor. Interestingly, the MIUI for TV 3.0 has a video of Xiaomi, a TV assistant, and a WeChat public number.
Now, we have a gamepad mode along with microphone mode which has been integrated into the interface to enable interactive control of the Mi TV via other methods. The phone’s TV remote now supports traditional key mode, gesture mode that can be manipulated by gesture sliding.
The great new addition to the MIUI for TV 3.0 in the form of online “reverse control” function which allows casting the TV screen’s content onto a smartphone and restores the TV UI operation on your phone, quite handy for various purposes. With a more modern look and new AI performance enhancements than its previous version.
