New HP Omen Gaming Monitors with 27 to 34-inch size options launched

At its Amplify Partner Conference in Chicago, HP recently unveiled a plethora of brand-new gaming monitors. HP Omen gaming monitor series is getting nine new models, which have consistently impressed us. To appeal to a variety of gamers, the new models come in sizes of one 24-inch, five 27-inch, two 32-inch, and one 34-inch.

The HP Omen 24 is the smallest of the group with a 24-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS panel and has a 165Hz refresh rate and a 1 ms response time. According to HP, the Omen 24 covers 99 and 90 percent, respectively, of the sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamuts. The Omen 24 includes AMD FreeSync Premium technology, as you might anticipate, to remove screen tearing in games.

The group of 27-inch gaming monitors include the HP Omen 27, 27q, 27qs, 27s, and 27k

On the outside, every monitor appears to be nearly identical, but the display panels vary greatly. With the HP Omen 27, a 165Hz Full HD IPS panel is offered. The HP Omen 27q increases the refresh rate to 165Hz and the resolution to QHD (2560 x 1440), while the Omen 27qs maintains the QHD resolution and increases the maximum refresh rate to 240Hz.

The HP Omen 27s has a Full HD panel and a 240Hz refresh rate, while the Omen 27k has a 4K (3840 x 2160) panel and a 144Hz refresh rate. Additionally, with a maximum brightness of 400 nits, all 27-inch monitors are rated for the same 99% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3 coverage.

All of the devices in the group support FreeSync Premium, but some of them stand out for having features like RGB lighting and dual USB 3.2 Type-A ports on the Omen 27qs, 27s, and 27k. A built-in KVM switch for controlling two different devices is also included with the Omen 27k.

Although the 32-inch HP Omen 32q and 32c have similar specs, they display pictures in different ways. The latter has a conventional 165Hz QHD IPS flat panel, while the latter has a 1500R VA panel with the same resolution and refresh rate.

They both advertise 400 nits of maximum brightness, 99% sRGB coverage, and support for FreeSync Premium. The Omen 32c’s VA panel enables it to reach a contrast ratio of 3,000:1, while the Omen 32q typically has a 1,000:1 contrast ratio.

This spring will see the release of the Omen 24 ($199.99), Omen 27, Omen 27s ($349.99), Omen 27q ($299.99), Omen 27qs ($429.99), Omen 27k ($579.99), Omen 32q ($399.99), Omen 32c ($379.99), and Omen 34c ($479.99).
