It was previously reported that iOS 17 would be a minor he update to iOS 16. This is primarily due to the focus on stability and improvements with minor new features and changes. Overall, it was presumed to be a maintenance focused update.

According to Mark Gurman, these new features are part of a new strategy that goes beyond just focusing on stability and other improvements.

Industry analyst, Gurman, says iOS 17 will have some nice to have features that many people have been requesting. Some of these features include improvements to features that some people have been wanting. However, he doesn’t know which features those might be yet.

Note that we’re only a few months away from the release of iOS 17, and we’ll see the latest additions soon at the company’s WWDC event. Beyond that, iOS 16 brings quite a few new features, but lacks quality. Initially, the update was full of bugs and issues, and Apple had to release subsequent updates to fix them.
