OMG 2, Akshay Kumar‘s new movie is all set to release on OTT and not in theatres. It is a sequel to the most-loved and one of the greatest Bollywood blockbuster movies in the industry. OMG 2 is directed by Amit Rai, whereas the first sequel of the movie was directed by Umesh Shukla. The movie is being produced by Vipul D Shah, Rajesh Bahl, and Ashwin Varde.
OMG 2 is a satirical comedy-drama film and in the first glimpse, we have seen Akshay Kumar as the avatar of Lord Shiva and this look has gone viral. The first looks of the cast, teasers, and trailer of OMG 2 will be launched in the second week of April.

OMG 2, Akshay Kumar’s new movie is all set to release on OTT and not in theatres. The producers of the movie are opting to release it either on Voot or Jio. However, there is no official confirmation of the same. As per the reports, it is expected that OMG 2 is going to release on 26th May 2022.
As per several issues, it has come to know that makers have decided to skip this movie as a theatrical release because recently Akshay Kumar has delivered back-to-back theatrical flops such as Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi Re, Raksha Bandhan, Samrat Prithviraj, Ram Setu, and Selfiee. The last movie which was become a blockbuster hit was Sooryavanshi released in November 2021. So, everyone is backing up for its theatrical release and moving forward for a direct-to-digital release.
As soon as the news and the first glimpse of Akshay Kumar went viral on the social media platform, all the fans suggested that the movie should get a theatrical release as the previous sequel to the movie was a blockbuster and Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal went on to have the biggest blockbuster of 2012. Everyone is demanding to bring back Paresh Rawal in the upcoming sequel.
Akshay Kumar has a number of films on his bucket list apart from OMG 2, the actor will be seen in the Soorarai Pottru remake, Capsule Gill, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Hera Pheri 3. The actor has also signed up for Dinesh Vijan’s next action drama titled Sky Force. Akshay Kumar is also going to mark his debut in Marathi films with Mahesh Manjrekar’s Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat.
