The upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series chipset is leaked on Geekbench and the tech community has gone crazy seeing the numbers. We already heard rumours and leaks surrounding this upcoming Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 previously and to our surprise, the chip has also visited Geekbench off late.
As speculated earlier, this Qualcomm chipset could be a rival to MediaTek Dimensity 8200, so, a lot of upper mid-range smartphones will be using it. Also, it confirmed that it will use TSMC’s reliable 4nm process node which again has changed the fortune of Qualcomm totally.
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 or 7 Gen 2 Geekbench performance looks impressive
The upcoming SM7475 chipset is on the radar for quite some time now and as it’s leaked on Geekbench we have a better idea about it. It has been previously seen on AnTuTu inside a Realme device which scored 1,029,731 points on AnTuTu, equivalent to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
Now, we as this upcoming Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 or 7 Gen 2 is spotted both on newer Geekbench 6 and 5, the division of cores is clear now. This chipset will have 1 Cortex-X2 core that goes up to 2.92GHz, coupled with 3 Cortex-A710 cores that go up to 2.5GHz, these are performance cores.
On the efficiency cores, this chipset is coupled with four Cortex-A510 cores which go up to 1.8GHz. This is coupled with a newer Adreno 725 GPU with clock speeds up to 580Hz. In terms of CPU score, this Snapdragon chipset has shown great potential, in Geekbench 5, it scores 1221 in single-core and 4022 points in multi-core.
In Geekbench 6, while for single-core we have 1662 points in single-core, whereas in multi-core we have 4490 points, which is mind-blowing for a mid-range chipset. These are truly flagship-level scores and the upcoming phones powering this Qualcomm chipset will truly be extremely powerful.
