Erling Haaland, Patson Daka, Karim Adeyemi, Benjamin Sesko, and now… Noah Okafor. The 22-year-old is the latest centre-forward from RB Salzburg that is attracting interest from some of the top clubs in Europe – including from England and Germany.
There was interest from several clubs during the January transfer window over a move. However, him and his representatives decided to stay in Austria until the end of the season and then work towards a big move and start the season afresh.
Noah Okafor to leave RB Salzburg at the end of the season
The Swiss international has a contact with Salzburg until 2024, and with one year left, the club will cash in on him. He has earned 12 caps for the Swiss national team so far, and has scored two goals. He made his debut for Switzerland in 2019, and went on to feature for them in the 2022 Qatar World Cup as well.
This season, Noah Okafor has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 23 games across all competitions. As a result, he is showing that he has a decent end product and that he can score the goals when needed.
Okafor came through the Basel academy in Switzerland, before making the move to Austria in January 2020 for €11 million. After spending three-and-a-half years with them, he is expected to move on to a bigger challenge when the summer window opens.
