These new processors will be launched by Intel under the Xeon brand, but they are the spiritual successors to the long-forgotten Core-X series, which has not been updated since the 10th Gen series. The upcoming Intel Xeon W2400 and W3400 series will not only include many more cores built with the most recent architecture, but they will also support all modern technologies such as DDR5 and PCIe Gen5.

Intel has now placed these CPUs under review embargo and the Sapphire Rapids Xeon Workstation reviews are expected to be published around February 22nd, a week after the formal introduction of the new Xeon line. It is worth noting that Intel has already confirmed the February 15th announcement date, but no specifications or pricing information has been released.
