Netflix’s romantic teen drama hit with subscribers across the world. The popularity of Heartstopper has got the renewal of two more seasons!
The Heartstopper is Netflix’s Original romantic teen drama that revolved around the graphic novel by author Alice Oseman, the executive producer of the creator of the show. The story revolves around Nick and Charlie along with two British Grammar school bots who generate a romantic feelings for each other.
Heartstopper (Season 2): Renewal Status

This type of thing doesn’t happen, often but the hearts and minds of the critics and the subscribers had credited some tandem thanks to the show’s 100% certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and its 98% audience score.
The viewing of the data for heartstopper is also backing up the increasing popularity of the drama. For the first week, the series got viewed for 14,550,000 million hours. In the second week, there was a 65% growth in viewership as it enhances 23,940,000 million hours. The show was featured for some additional weeks only watching a 37% decline in viewing ours.

Heartstopper has also featured in the top ten list of 67 countries across the world containing the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. The show has reached 9th in the US top ten lists but has performed very well in the UK where it has ranked 2nd.
British SVOD has confirmed about the analytics company Digital I, Heartstopper contained such an extraordinary completion rate. The completion rate of the series follows finish it. The data has suggested that 73% of the people who have started the show reach the finishing line.
Heartstopper (Season 2): Expectation
After watching the first season, we are assuming that Heartstopper season 2 will continue and definitely be faithful to the graphic novel or webcomic that we can expect to see some updates:
- In the second season, we can see Nick’s older brother David, who is homophobic and does not accept his younger sibling’s bisexuality.
- The struggle of Charlie with an eating disorder and his mental health.
- The school’s reaction to Nick and Charlie’s relationship.

Nick and Charlie have faced many homophobias, in particular, from Charlie’s abusive ad closeted ex-boyfriend Ben, and the rich kid Harry. Along with those pair that has exposed their relationship to the world, there are some young couple who can expect more trials and tribulations further.
We also can see the progressing relationship in-between Tao and Elle will be revealed in detail in the second season along with the relationship between Tara and Darcy.
It has set the graphic novel readers also aware that they can expect to see more about Mr. Ajayi who has been a great supporter of Charlie and have the potential to introduce Mr. Farouk.
Heartstopper (Season 2): Production Status
By following the renewal, the series has visited instantly into active development. On late June 2022, we were among the first to report that the series would be eying a September 2022 shooting start and we’ve pleased to confirm that the shooting is now underway.
The production listings have confirmed that it will take place from 13th September to 20th December 2022 for the second season. Netflix recently declared that the Heartstopper is also a part of Netflix’s TUDUM event place on 24th September 2022.

In the second season we will see Kit Connor as Nick, Joe Locke as Charlie, William Gao as Tao, Yashmmon Finney as Elle, Corrinna Brown as Tara, Kizzy Edgell as Darcy, Tobie Donovan as Tori, Sebastian Croft as Ben, Corman Hyden-Corrin as Harry, Rhea as Imogen, Fisayo Akinde as Mr. Ajayi, Chetna Pandya as Coach Singh, Olivia Colman as Sarah, Georgina Rich as jane, and Joseph Balderrama as Julio.
The second season may introduce David, the homophobic older brother of ich who will soon add to the cast. This October, Netflix has depicted three new members of the cast for the second season.
