Phantom Fury is being developed by Slipgate Ironworks as a sequel to Ion Fury. Ion Fury was created by Voidpoint and published by 3D Realms, and it was first made available on Steam a few years ago. First-person shooter game currently has an average Steam approval rating of 94%. Additionally, it features artwork that is reminiscent of early Duke Nukem and Doom. With a brand-new game, 3D Realms is carrying on the franchise.
Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison is the games main character and though a while has passed between Ion Fury and Phantom Fury, and Shelly is the main player character once more.
The game’s “road movie” inspiration is clearly visible in the additional vehicle-based setpieces that are included in addition to the already frantic and chaotic gunplay. By interacting with the game’s surroundings, which include flying helicopters and using fully functional computers, the world around you also comes to life.
Shelly has a new bionic arm that connects to the Phantom Fury’s upgrade systems when she wakes up. You can acquire new skills to aid you in eliminating the swarms of foes that populate the levels and each have unique skills and powers, such as an electric shield or melee attacks.
Twenty weapons, including fan favourites like the Bowling Bombs, are available for use as the player explores Phantom Fury’s environment.
Every weapon has upgradable features that may be unlocked that alter how they function, right down to how they shoot. It’s not just your weapons that can be improved. Phantom Fury will be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC through Steam, and PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next year.
